DESCRIPTION
The **Sky-Tec 149NLR** is a new, 12-volt **NL Series aircraft starter** designed for approved counter-rotating Lycoming engine applications equipped with a **149-tooth ring gear** and **12/14 pinion pitch**.
The 149NLR features a lightweight in-line configuration, left-hand rotation and an internal solenoid. Its **Kickback Protection System (KPS)** incorporates a field-replaceable shear pin to help protect the starter during an engine kickback event.
The standard **149NLR is manufactured for 12 V applications**. The Sky-Tec 149NLR/EC is the corresponding model for 24 V applications.
