The FAA-approved Alternate Method of Compliance (AMOC) upgrades critical components of the South Wind heater to Janitrol Aero designs and replaces other key components with new parts during the overhaul process. Once the applicable AMOC upgrade is incorporated, repetitive compliance with FAA Airworthiness Directive 2017-06-03 is not required. Each AMOC kit is designed for specific eligible South Wind heater models and configurations.
