DESCRIPTION
The **SA3‑10‑D Gascolator** is a FAA‑PMA / STC‑approved fuel‑system sediment and water separator featuring a 4 oz drainable bowl with an O‑ring sealed, bayonet‑lock design. Machined from 6061‑aluminium and anodised for corrosion resistance, the unit replaces older wire‑bail or thumb‑wheel bowls, providing improved sealing integrity and simplified maintenance. The drainable bowl design allows accumulated water or sediment to be drained easily without bowl removal, helping ensure clean fuel delivery and safe engine operation.
---
## Applications
- Sediment and water separation for piston‑engine aircraft fuel systems fitted with compatible gascolator or fuel‑strainer assemblies
- Replacement or upgrade of factory fuel sediment bowls to a PMA/STC‑approved 4 oz drainable version
- Routine maintenance or pre‑flight inspections requiring periodic draining of water or contaminants
- Retrofit on aircraft fuel systems using 3/8 NPT (1/2″ internal‑diameter) fuel lines where SA‑series gascolators are applicable
---
## Supplied With
- Fuel screen (stainless‑steel mesh)
- Screen retainer
- Bowl sealing O‑ring(s)
- Drain valve and lever
---
